You are invited to the Edmonton international qualifier tournament if your rating is below 2200! The qualifier will take place on April 26-27 at the Edmonton chess club. Registration: April 26, from 9:00 - 9:45 am in the ECC.
Entry fee: $30 for adults and $25 for juniors.
Rounds: 5
Rounds’ time:
Saturday: 10:00 am, 2 pm, and 6 pm.
Sunday: 10:00 am and 2 pm.
Time control: Game in 90 minutes plus 30 seconds/move increment.
Membership: CFC membership is required and is available at the door. Non-CFC members will be charged an additional $10 to enter the event.
Prizes: As this is a fund-raiser to the Edmonton International, most of the funds will be used for that purpose. However, some money still will be given as prizes which should include class prizes as well.
In addition to the money prize, the winner of the qualifier will get the opportunity to play in the Edmonton international event, coming in the end of July, 2008.
